The World Athletics Relays Bahamas 2024 will host a total of 32 teams competing in the men’s 4x400m relay, 27 teams in the women’s 4x400m relay, and 30 teams in the mixed 4x400m relay. India will be represented in all three races at the event.
India’s men’s 4x400m relay team includes eight athletes, including Amoj Jacob, Muhammad Anas Yahiya, Muhammad Ajmal, and Rajesh Ramesh, who won the Asian Games gold in the same event at the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games. Other team members include Arokia Rajiv, Noah Nirmal Tom, Yashas Palaksha, and Avinash Krishna Kumar.
The women’s team for India includes seven athletes led by MR Poovamma, with other athletes like Vithya Ramraj, Aishwarya Mishra, and Subha Venkatesan. Jyothika Sri Dandi and Rupal complete the team.

Qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games will take place on day two of the event. Teams that finish in second place or higher in their respective heats will automatically qualify for the Olympics. Start lists for each race will be published on May 3rd with final team line-ups to be confirmed closer to the event date.
