The T20 World Cup kicks off with India taking on Bangladesh in a warm-up match at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on Saturday. The Indian team was spotted engaged in intense training sessions ahead of the game. Captain Rohit Sharma focused on his defensive strategies while vice-captain Hardik Pandya perfected his leg-side shots. Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant practiced unconventional shots through mid-wicket and Shivam Dube worked on his batswing, as seen in a video shared by BCCI.

Bowlers Jasrpit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Mohammed Siraj were also seen honing their skills under the bright sunshine. All-rounders Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja got some bowling practice in before the upcoming matches.

India is one of the 20 teams competing in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup starting on June 1. They are grouped with Pakistan, hosts United States, Ireland, and Canada in Group A. The teams will face each other in a single-round robin format, with the top two advancing to the Super Eight stage. Group A matches will be held exclusively in the USA, with West Indies as the co-hosts.

The tournament starts with USA playing Canada at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas, Texas on June 1. The schedule for Group A includes matches between India and Ireland, United States and Pakistan, Canada and Ireland, India and Pakistan
