In Monday’s baseball games, Somerset and Richland faced off in a fierce battle. It was the home team that emerged victorious, with a final score of 18-5. The winning team had a standout performance by Callen Miller, who recorded an impressive five hits and scored five RBIs, including a home run. Lane Lambert also played well, hitting two homers and racking up five RBIs as well. Carter Dunmyer added three hits to the mix, while Braeden Flower struck out 10 over six innings.

Meanwhile, Conemaugh Township was able to secure a narrow victory over Cambria Heights with a final score of 7-5. Larry Weaver was the star player for the winning team, scoring two homers and two RBIs. D.J. Bambino drove in two runs for Conemaugh Township, while Luke Weber and Brennan Lohr each contributed two hits as well.

In other baseball news, Windber defeated Ferndale with a final score of 12-2 in just six innings. Lucas Oleksa hit a 3-run home run and tallied four RBIs to lead the charge for Windber. Lucas Rummel and Nathan Betcher also put in strong performances for the winning team.

Despite losing to Hancock with a final score of 10-2, Turkeyfoot Valley saw some great individual performances from Bryce Nicholson and Gavin Culp. Nicholson hit two singles and scored one run, while Culp drove in an RBI single as well.
