The results of softball and baseball games from the week of April 8th have been reported by high school coaches or their representatives. On the softball field on April 8th, Mount Notre Dame defeated St. Ursula 13-2 in six innings. Gildea pitched the win for MND with a record of 4-0, while Basil took the loss with a record of 5-2. Hull had a standout performance for MND with 3 hits and 3 RBIs. In another game, Oak Hills beat Sycamore 9-5 with Szabo pitching the win.

Other softball results included Seton’s 14-3 victory over Ursuline Academy, Badin’s impressive 11-1 win over Fenwick, Notre Dame’s dominant 17-0 win over Holmes, and Rowan County’s hard-fought 9-4 win over Dixie Heights.

In baseball action on April 8th, Northwest dominated Mount Healthy with a resounding 28-3 victory in which Smits pitched the win. Frey was a key contributor for Northwest with his impressive performance that included hitting for five times, two doubles and four runs scored at bat.
