On the softball field on April 8th, Mount Notre Dame defeated St. Ursula 13-2 in six innings. Gildea pitched the win for MND with a record of 4-0, while Basil took the loss with a record of 5-2. Hull had a standout performance for MND with 3 hits and 3 RBIs. In another game, Oak Hills beat Sycamore 9-5 with Szabo pitching the win.
Other softball results included Seton’s 14-3 victory over Ursuline Academy, Badin’s impressive 11-1 win over Fenwick, Notre Dame’s dominant 17-0 win over Holmes, and Rowan County’s hard-fought 9-4 win over Dixie Heights.
In baseball action on April 8th, Northwest dominated Mount Healthy with a resounding 28-3 victory in which Smits pitched the win. Frey was a key contributor for Northwest with his impressive performance that included hitting for five times, two doubles and four runs scored at bat.
