Her decision to focus on team events instead of individual competitions helped the team place second at the state championship. Meanwhile, Walker fulfilled a long-time ambition by signing with Limestone College to continue his track and field career. He spoke about the sacrifices and dedication he put into his training to achieve his dream, reflecting on the discipline required to forgo social events and focus on athletic pursuits.
