Livingstone College is where Bing will pursue her dream of becoming a biologist. The HBCU environment resonated with her, as she feels connected to the community at Silver Bluff and wants to recreate that supportive atmosphere. She values staying engaged in various activities and maintaining her athleticism, which she attributes to her athletic family who instilled in her a love for sports and physical activity.
Bing’s selflessness as an athlete was praised by Coach Shauna Barfield, who noted her dedication to the relay team despite no prior experience. Her decision to focus on team events instead of individual competitions helped the team place second at the state championship. Meanwhile, Walker fulfilled a long-time ambition by signing with Limestone College to continue his track and field career. He spoke about the sacrifices and dedication he put into his training to achieve his dream, reflecting on the discipline required to forgo social events and focus on athletic pursuits.
