Hamas leader Ismail Haniye has vowed to continue pushing for a ceasefire and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, despite the loss of his children in an Israeli bombing. Haniye spoke out about the tragedy, emphasizing that the death of his children was just another casualty in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine.

Meanwhile, a senior Hamas official, Basem Naim, accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of undermining ceasefire efforts with nefarious tactics. The Israeli Army justified the bombing as a preemptive strike against Hamas militants, including one of Haniye’s sons who was a commander in the group.

This tragedy is not the first for Haniye, who previously lost his granddaughter in the conflict. The cycle of violence between Israel and Palestine has claimed thousands of lives and continues to escalate despite international calls for peace. The ongoing conflict underscores the urgency for a lasting ceasefire and resolution to the longstanding conflict in the region.
