The UCI Gravel World Series event took place on the fifth stage of the Giro Sardegna, starting in Orosei at the ITI Marina Resort. The course was a 13 km journey followed by a local loop of 41 km, including 57% gravel roads.

Frederik Rassmann claimed victory in the men’s category, finishing six seconds ahead of Alban Lakata and over a minute-and-a-half ahead of Matteo Zurlo. Debora Piana secured first place in the women’s race with a dominant performance. Both the elite men and women were initially set to complete the local lap three times. However, organizers decided to reduce the number of laps for the women to two due to safety concerns related to strong winds in the forecast.
