Ghanaian forestry student, Abubakar Tahiru, has broken a Guinness World Record for hugging the most trees in one hour. At the age of 29, Mr Tahiru embraced a staggering 1,123 trees in just one hour at the Tuskegee National Forest in Alabama, USA. The impressive feat was captured on video by Guinness World Records.
To achieve this remarkable accomplishment, Mr Tahiru had to maintain a rapid pace, averaging nearly 19 hugs per minute. Each hug had to be a full embrace, with both arms wrapped around the tree without repeating hugs or causing harm to the trees. Despite fasting for Ramadan and not being able to drink water during the attempt, Mr Tahiru powered through the challenge without breaks, displaying both physical and mental endurance.
