German Triple Threat Heads to Paris for Women’s Team Shooting Competition: Katharina Bauer, Michelle Kroppen, and Charline Schwarz

In a recent announcement, German national coach Oliver Haidn revealed that Katharina Bauer, Michelle Kroppen, and Charline Schwarz have been selected to represent Germany in the women’s team at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The trio, who won the world championship together in Korea, await confirmation by the German shooting federation‘s elite sport committee and the National Olympic Committee.

Katharina Bauer expressed her excitement about being nominated for the team and making her Olympic debut in July. Michelle Kroppen and Charline Schwarz, who will be participating in their second Olympics in Paris, shared their gratitude for being selected and their determination to perform at their best.

Although Elisa Tartler won three team bronze medals in recent competitions, she did not make the final cut for the Olympic team due to internal selections. However, the German squad, including Florian Unruh, Jonathan Vetter, and Moritz Wieser on the men’s side, will continue their preparations at the third stage of the 2024 Hyundai Archery World Cup in Antalya. The men’s team aims to secure a full quota of three archers at the final world qualifier in Türkiye.
