The Roitzschjora airfield near Leipzig is set to host the long-awaited FULL REWIND festival from August 2nd to August 4th, 2024. The festival was founded by the Chemnitz team behind the WITH FULL FORCE Festival, Sven Borges, Roland Ritter, and Mike Schorler. These founders have not been happy with the new festival generation under new ownership and have decided to bring back the festival to its original location for a special event.
After a successful test run in Dresden, FULL REWIND promises to be a low budget festival with affordable ticket prices, food, and merchandise. The focus of the event is on creating a family-friendly and welcoming atmosphere for all attendees. This is in contrast to the WITH FULL FORCE Festival, which was sold to live entertainment company Goodlive and is now held under the name FULL FORCE at a new location in FERROPOLIS near Gräfenhainichen. While some fans have missed the old atmosphere and energy of Roitzschjora airfield, others are excited for this nostalgic return of one of Germany’s most beloved metal festivals.
