Dexter Fowler, the former Chicago Cubs centerfielder and World Series champion, has recently earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational and Professional Communication from Penn State. Fowler, who was a student marshal at his graduation ceremony, played in the majors from 2008-2021, with stints on various teams including the Rockies, Astros, Cubs, Cardinals, and Angels. He was an All-Star in 2016 and won the World Series with Chicago that same year.

Fowler’s parents insisted that he finish his education and go to college when he was drafted by the Rockies in 2004. Despite his successful baseball career, Fowler kept his promise to his parents by returning to school and earning his degree. He studied with Penn State’s World Campus and graduated from the College of Liberal Arts in a ceremony on Saturday, May 4th.

In addition to his baseball career and commitment to education, Fowler also owns two companies and provides on-air baseball analysis for ESPN, NBC Sports, and FOX Sports. His strong work ethic and integrity are reflected in all aspects of his life. Congratulations to Dexter Fowler on this well-deserved achievement!
