During OTAs, Head Coach Sean Payton spoke highly of Marvin Mims Jr.’s potential for the upcoming season. Payton expressed his belief that Mims will see significant growth from his rookie year to his second year. This optimism was further supported by a recent CBS Sports article by Chris Trapasso, who identified Mims as one of the second-year players poised for a breakout season.

In his article, Trapasso highlighted Mims’ impressive statistics from his rookie season, pointing out that he averaged over 17 yards per catch with four missed tackles on 22 receptions and only one drop. Mims was also named to the Second-Team All-Pro as a kick returner, showcasing his versatility on the field.

Trapasso praised Mims as a fast and talented player with great hands and skills after catching the ball. He noted that Mims is likely to benefit from increased opportunities following Jerry Jeudy’s departure to the Browns in the offseason. Mims had a successful first season with the Broncos, making 22 catches for 377 yards and a touchdown, while also earning a Pro Bowl selection as a return specialist.

“Given his explosiveness and potential shown in Year 1, Mims has earned a starting role in his second season,” Trapasso predicted. The expectations are high for Mims as he looks to build on his impressive rookie campaign and make an impact in the upcoming season.
