Matt Corral, who was once considered a top quarterback prospect in the NFL draft class, is now leading the Birmingham Stallions to victory in the UFL. The Stallions defeated the Arlington Renegades, who were XFL champions, with a score of 27-14 in their first game of the season.

Corral had a strong performance in the game, completing 12 of 21 passes for 201 yards and throwing one touchdown and one interception. Additionally, he contributed 25 rushing yards on four carries to help secure the win for Birmingham.

The game was close until Corral connected with receiver Deon Cain for a 39-yard touchdown pass at the end of the second quarter, taking the lead for Birmingham. They maintained their advantage until the final whistle.

Birmingham had an impressive 409 yards from scrimmage while Arlington managed only 262 yards. In their next game, Birmingham will face Michigan Panthers while Arlington will be up against Battlehawks in St. Louis.
