The 2024 NBA offseason is filled with key dates to keep an eye on. The action kicks off from June 6 to June 23 with the NBA Finals, where the champions of the 2023-24 season will be crowned. Following the conclusion of the Finals, teams will have the opportunity to negotiate with pending free agents who finished the season on their roster.
On June 26 and 27, the 2024 NBA Draft will take place, where the next class of basketball players will be selected. Round one will be held on Wednesday, June 26, followed by round two on June 27.
Full free agency negotiations begin on July 1, allowing teams to start discussions with free agents who were not on their roster during the previous season. This period officially begins at midnight ET.
Come July 6, the free agency signing period begins, enabling teams to sign free agents to contracts starting at noon ET. From July 19 to August 18, the NBA Summer League takes place in Las Vegas and Orlando, giving rookies, sophomores and G League players an opportunity to showcase their skills and impress teams in hopes of making a roster.
