Dexter Fowler, a former Major League Baseball player and World Series champion, has recently graduated from Penn State with a bachelor’s degree in organizational and professional communication. Fowler, who played for five different teams throughout his 14-year baseball career, fulfilled a promise to his parents to return to school by completing his degree through Penn State’s World Campus.

In 2016, he made history by hitting a lead-off home run in Game 7 of the World Series, helping the Cubs secure their first title in over a century. After retiring from baseball in 2023, Fowler remained committed to continuing his education and pursuing new opportunities in the sports and entertainment industry.
