In 2021, EdukOS transitioned from a Knowledge Center to a private high school. This makes it the second of its kind in eastern Croatia, with over 16 thousand young people having passed through its doors in the city center. Currently, there are 38 full-time students enrolled in the school year.

The brainchild of economist and private entrepreneur Kristijan Šimičić, EdukOS was established as a knowledge center and private gymnasium. Mr. Šimičić invested 700,000 euros in purchasing and furnishing two office buildings in the city center.

EdukOS sets high standards for its students and teachers, with entrance tests, score thresholds, and criteria for employment. The school emphasizes that it is not a place where grades can be bought but rather a place for students to excel and become future leaders. To this end, EdukOS offers scholarships and tuition assistance for exceptional students from disadvantaged backgrounds and encourages entrepreneurs to support talented students financially.

EdukOS has unique features such as naming classrooms after Croatian scientists, offering housekeeping as an extracurricular activity, and recording lessons for students to access anytime. The school focuses on developing life skills and preparing students for higher education and future careers by providing a modern and innovative learning environment.

Students at EdukOS appreciate the hands-on learning experiences, trips, social media presence, and amenities like hot meals and chill zones. Through monthly surveys, students have the opportunity to voice concerns
