Deji Oshilaja, a versatile midfielder with experience in defense, has signed a two-year deal with Mansfield Town, a League One team. This move comes after his release from Burton Albion where he scored 12 goals in 133 appearances over three seasons.

Oshilaja has mainly played in League One throughout his career, previously featuring for Charlton Athletic, AFC Wimbledon, and Gillingham. The 31-year-old is the fourth new addition to join Mansfield Town since their promotion. Manager Nigel Clough has brought in Oshilaja along with Australia midfielder Keanu Baccus, full-back Frazer Blake-Tracy and striker Lee Gregory.

Oshilaja expressed his excitement about Clough’s plans for him and the team, stating “The manager has a clear plan for me in terms of what he wants me to bring to the team so that’s exciting.” Oshilaja added that he feels “people speak about him (Clough) in such high regard” which makes him want to play for him even more.
