More than 73 million user accounts have been affected by a data leak at AT&T, the American telecommunications giant. The company is currently investigating the source of the leak and taking measures to contain any damage caused. The leaked data includes personal information such as Social Security numbers and dates back to 2019.

AT&T has confirmed that 7.6 million current accounts and 65.4 million accounts of former customers have been affected by the leak. The company sent messages to affected users advising them to immediately change their passwords in order to prevent unauthorized access. While there is no evidence of unauthorized access to their systems, AT&T is offering credit monitoring to those affected as an added precaution.
