Phil Mickelson’s longtime caddie, Tim Mickelson, is retiring after nearly eight years on the job. The younger brother of Phil took over as his caddie in 2017 after the retirement of long-time bagman Bones Mackay.

Tim’s decision to retire comes after an evolving family life with his partner Maranda and their two sons. He expressed gratitude for the special moments he shared with his brother both on and off the course.

During his time as a caddie, Tim helped guide Phil to three PGA Tour wins, including the 2021 PGA Championship. However, since transitioning to LIV Golf two years ago, the team has not seen as much success in the Saudi-backed league. Despite this, Mickelson treasures the memories they have created together and looks forward to creating more in the future.

The next LIV Golf event is scheduled for next week at Doral, just outside of Miami. While Tim’s replacement has not been revealed yet, Mickelson will continue to navigate the professional golf world with a new caddie by his side as he competes in upcoming tournaments.
