Elon Musk has announced that the Grok chatbot, a generative artificial intelligence (AI) model introduced in tests within the Premium+ subscription last year, will be made available to all paid levels on the platform by the end of this week. The chatbot, which is based on the novel ‘The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy’ and has a rebellious streak, provides real-time answers to user questions with a touch of humor that may not be suitable for everyone.

Recently, XAI, the firm’s AI division, shared the model and network architecture used by the ‘chatbot’ on GitHub, stating that they had trained the Grok-large language model from scratch with a substantial amount of data. Musk has also announced that at the end of this week, Grok will be enabled for all Premium subscribers, not just those on the highest level plan. The firm has been working on enhancing the humor level of the ‘chatbot’ to offer an “unhinged fun mode.”

The Basic X Premium level is priced at 3.63 euros per month, and users can upgrade to either the Premium or Premium+ level depending on their needs. The specific date for when Grok will become available for all Premium subscribers is not yet clear as well as whether it will be implemented automatically.
