In November 2020, Fox Factory Holding Corp. purchased Marucci Sports LLC, a sports equipment company based in Baton Rouge, for $572 million after changing ownership in a $200 million deal. This acquisition came after the company had secured an exclusive license agreement with Major League Baseball (MLB) for its Marucci and Victus brands to become the official bats of MLB. The agreement is set to begin on January 1, 2025 and will run until December 31, 2028.

Founded in 2009 by former LSU and MLB pitcher Kurt Ainsworth after taking over Marucci Bats from LSU athletic trainer Jack Marucci, Marucci Sports has quickly become a leading provider of high-quality baseball equipment. This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved with the company, from its founders to its current team members who continue to drive its success in the sports equipment market. With this partnership with MLB, Marucci Sports is poised to further solidify its position as a major player in the professional baseball industry.
