The Courier Journal has announced the nominees for this week’s girls athlete of the week. The athletes have demonstrated consistency on softball diamonds and lacrosse fields. Voting is currently open, with the poll closing at 6 p.m. Thursday and the winner being announced Friday.

Among the nominees are Tia Ice from Assumption, who had an impressive performance with seven hits, including a home run, and seven RBIs in games against Meade County, Mercy, and South Warren. Kylie McRoberts from Whitefield Academy also made the list, picking up two wins and striking out 16 batters against Portland Christian and Jeffersontown.

Sophie Sheehan from Ballard had an outstanding performance with eight goals and one assist in games against Collins and North Oldham. Allie Streble from Mercy had an equally impressive showing with eight hits, including a home run, three RBIs, and a walk in games against North Bullitt, Assumption, and Bullitt East.

Hailey Voss from Sacred Heart contributed five goals and an assist to help Sacred Heart secure wins over Mercy and Mariemont (Cincinnati).
