Arizona football has received recognition from a college football outlet with the latest preseason All-American teams naming four Wildcats for their outstanding performances. Wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan received a 1st Team All-America selection from Athlon Sports, while cornerback Tacario Davis earned a spot on the 3rd Team. Linebacker Jacob Manu and offensive lineman Jonah Savaiinaea were also honored with spots on the 4th Team.

This is the second time that Davis, Manu, and McMillan have been recognized as preseason All-Americans, having previously been named by Phil Steele Magazine. McMillan was a 1st Team selection from Phil Steele Magazine, while Davis and Manu were on the 3rd Team. These four UA players are part of the five Wildcats named to Athlon’s preseason 1st Team All-Big 12 squad, along with kicker Tyler Loop. In total, there are twelve Arizona players recognized on the preseason team, with four on the 3rd Team and three on the 4th Team.

Among those named to the 3rd Team are quarterback Noah Fifita, offensive lineman Josh Baker, defensive end Tre Smith, and defensive back Treydan Stukes. Those named to the 4th Team include running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt, offensive lineman Wendell Moe, and defensive back Gunner Maldonado. These honors reflect the impressive talent and depth of the Arizona football team heading into the upcoming season.
