Fincantieri, a major player in the shipbuilding industry, has lost its president and CEO, General Claudio Graziano. He passed away at the age of 68 in Rome. The cause of death is still being investigated by police and medical examiners.

Graziano was known for his exceptional leadership qualities during his long career in the navy and as a business executive. He was highly respected for his competence and professionalism, earning praise from many notable figures in Italy.

Political leaders such as President Sergio Mattarella, politician Giorgia Meloni, and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani mourned Graziano’s passing and expressed their condolences to his loved ones. The Italian Navy also released a statement paying tribute to the late general’s contributions to the country’s military forces.

Fincantieri CEO Pierroberto Folgiero announced that the company will hold a memorial service for Graziano in the near future. He stated that his departure leaves an immense void in the company’s leadership team but acknowledged that he would always be remembered fondly as a dedicated leader who put his employees first.
