Florida A&M University Rattlers football team quarterback Daniel Richardson is ready for the upcoming spring quarterback battle and excited to discuss the offensive outlook for the upcoming season.

Last week, a poll was conducted to determine the best mascot name in Florida college sports, and it’s no surprise that the Rattlers emerged as the clear winner with over half of the total votes. The team’s unique moniker sets them apart from other college sports programs and has a rich history dating back to 1891.

Originally known by different names such as the Wildcats and Flamingos, the Rattlers eventually became the iconic symbol of FAMU. The rattlesnake’s tenacity and ability to strike repeatedly resonate with the resilience and determination of FAMU students and athletes. With a supportive fan base and a strong team behind them, Richardson and his teammates are prepared to continue the tradition of excellence and showcase their pride as Florida A&M University Rattlers.
