The Rokin metro station in the center of Amsterdam was cordoned off by police on Sunday evening. Several patrols and explosives experts were present at the scene, as reports from news agency Reuters and Dutch media indicated that the area was isolated early in the evening.

Despite receiving a tip about a possible bomb attack, authorities did not discover anything alarming at the location. The situation was taken very seriously by the police, who described it as suspicious. After half past ten, the metro station was reopened for use, with no suspicious findings reported by the police.
