On March 19, the Locust Valley Intermediate School gym was transformed into a hub of scientific discovery as young scientists took over the space for their annual science fair. Students in grades three to five showcased their creative and informative projects to parents and high school student judges.

One group of students presented their projects to judges in the gym while the other two grades participated in hands-on activities with the Locust Valley High School robotics teams. The students learned safe chemical reactions and how to create mechanized creations, putting in incredible effort to go through the scientific process and present their intricate projects at the fair.

In particular, one grade’s project stood out as they displayed tri-fold boards and innovative creations like DNA strands made of nail files, robotic arms, and clay brain recreations. Their work was not only visually stunning but also demonstrated a deep understanding of complex scientific concepts.

Overall, the Locust Valley Intermediate School science fair was a resounding success, inspiring young scientists to continue exploring the world around them through scientific discovery and innovation.
