Unfortunately, a 5th grade female student from Vinh Truong Primary School passed away at Khanh Hoa Provincial General Hospital due to underlying heart disease. The Department of Health clarified that the cause of death was not related to food poisoning, even though the student had eaten sushi before experiencing symptoms.

The remaining patients are in stable condition and are under observation. Parents of affected students reported that their children had eaten food from restaurants near the school gate before falling ill. Authorities are investigating the food establishments suspected to have caused the food poisoning outbreak.

In a similar incident last month, 10 Nha Trang students experienced digestive issues from eating chicken rice near the school gate, and 369 people were poisoned by contaminated food from a local restaurant.
