The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) has announced that their Office of Financial Technology and Access will be hosting office hours for credit union representatives, financial technology companies, and credit union associations to discuss financial technology with NCUA’s fintech and credit union programs.

During these office hours, stakeholders can bring up various topics related to emerging technology in credit unions, fintech inquiries from credit unions, financial inclusion through technology inquiries, and general questions or points of discussion about barriers experienced by credit unions and fintech companies when working together. To schedule a meeting during open office hours, stakeholders can email fintechmail@ncua.gov with their organization’s name and the topic they would like to discuss. Meetings will be limited to 30 minutes.

Requests for office hour meetings in 2024 will open 60 days prior to the upcoming sessions on August 20–22 and November 12–14. Requests submitted outside of this timeframe will not be considered due to the high volume of expected requests. If the requested meeting time is not available, stakeholders are encouraged to request a meeting during a future open office hours period.

The Office of Financial Technology and Access aims to identify barriers, challenges, and opportunities that credit unions face in adopting and utilizing technology to offer financial products and services to their members. They are dedicated to promoting the development and deployment of technologies and innovations that can enhance financial inclusion and provide equitable and affordable consumer access within the credit union system.

If you have any questions about the office hours or need further assistance, please contact fintechmail@ncua.gov for more information.
