Jackson Walker partner Jonathan E. Lass recently served as a presiding officer for The University of Texas School of Law’s 37th Annual Technology Law Conference. The conference will feature discussions led by nationally recognized leaders in technology, covering a range of industry issues such as technology licensing, data privacy, and emerging technology.

In addition to Jonathan’s involvement, Jackson Walker partner Jennifer F. Wertz will be presenting at the conference on Thursday, May 23. Her presentation, titled “A Technology-Focused Introduction to Bankruptcy & Insolvency,” will provide valuable insights on key concepts in bankruptcy and insolvency, including protectionist and opportunistic strategies. Jackson Walker associate Beau Butler also contributed to the event by co-authoring an article featured in the course materials.

Jonathan E. Lass is an Austin-based partner at Jackson Walker who specializes in technology outsourcing and mergers and acquisitions transactions. He works with government agencies acquiring mission-critical technology and advises private sector clients on strategic acquisitions, purchase and sale of businesses and assets, and technology procurement.

Jennifer F. Wertz is a partner in the Austin office’s Bankruptcy, Restructuring, & Recovery practice at Jackson Walker. She represents various stakeholders involved in bankruptcy proceedings and related complex litigation. Jennifer is also experienced in representing entities in complex corporate reorganization and fiduciary litigation, with a focus on workouts and reorganization. She is board certified in Business Bankruptcy Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.”
