Visitors to Magic Kingdom in May will be in for a new sensory experience with the introduction of “Smellephants on Parade” presented by Scentsy. The installation, located in the Storybook Circus area, will offer a search-and-sniff experience through interactive statues that feature different scents.

Upon entering the land, guests will be greeted by a casting call from Timothy Q. Mouse, who is looking for a “Whiff-sistant” to join Dumbo’s newest act. Visitors can pick up an illustrated map and sticker sheet at the ticket booth in front of Big Top Souvenirs to guide them through the experience.

The first “Smellephant” statue will feature the scent of popcorn, with additional statues themed with smells such as churro and cotton candy. Once completed, there will be a total of eight “Smellephants” to discover in the Storybook Circus area.

This complimentary and voluntary experience is designed for all guests to enjoy, including those with sensitive noses. Disney has a history of incorporating scents into its parks to enhance the overall guest experience, using patented scent blending technology to create memorable smells.

“Smellephants on Parade” is part of Disney’s ongoing efforts to make the Magic Kingdom a truly immersive and magical destination for visitors of all ages to enjoy.
