This year, the Bentley African Student Association (ASA) conference drew attendees from both Bentley University and beyond, including Tufts University student Kristen Barth. The event was a huge success and can be attributed to the hard work and dedication of the ASA student teams who were responsible for various tasks such as marketing, outreach, and operations.

The speaker lineup expanded to ten this year, compared to just three speakers in the previous year. Danquah, along with nine other undergraduate students from ASA, took on the responsibility of planning and executing the conference. After attending the conference, Barth expressed her appreciation for the keynote address delivered by Jean-Paul Adam, which covered topics such as policy making, international collaboration, and unity among African nations. She commended the Bentley African Student Association team for organizing such a successful event that not only facilitated learning and networking among students but also inspired a renewed commitment to contributing to the development of her home country Ghana and the African continent as a whole.

Danquah expressed gratitude for the support from Bentley’s leadership early in the planning process. With President Chrite’s backing, Danquah is optimistic about the conference’s potential to expand and continue making a positive impact in the future.
