On Tuesday, the stock market showed little direction as investors awaited the announcement of US consumer inflation figures for April. Meanwhile, Eurozone inflation figures will be released on Friday. The OMXH general index in Helsinki opened with a slight decrease, with Nokia, Nordea, and Sampo among the most traded stocks.

Martela’s share price took a hit after posting weak earnings, while Koskisen’s stock started to rise. Aspo announced plans to create two separate companies: Aspo Compounder and Aspo Infra. These new companies will have different business models and strategies. In addition to this news, Aspo also renewed its long-term financial goals and dividend policy. The company now aims to keep the net debt to comparable EBITDA ratio below three and distribute a maximum of 50 percent of net profit annually as dividends while gradually increasing payouts over time while considering financing needs for growth initiatives.
