As Euro 2024 Day 11 continues, we can’t help but reflect on the thrilling double dose of late drama that took place the day before. Germany drew with Hungary, leaving Scotland’s hearts broken. But it’s time to look forward to what Day 11 has in store.

On this day, Group B will come to an end with two highly anticipated games: Spain taking on Albania, who are already qualified, and Italy facing off against Croatia in Leipzig. All eyes will be on veteran playmaker Luka Modrić as he looks to find his old form and help Croatia secure a spot in the last 16 by defeating Italy.

Steve Clarke, coach of Scotland, reflected on their devastating elimination from Euro 2024 after conceding a goal in extra time against Hungary. It was a bitter pill for fans to swallow, especially after seeing Italy and Croatia face off for the first time at Euro 2012. Since gaining independence, Croatia has remained unbeaten in eight games against Italy. Spain has also been dominant against Albania, winning all eight of their meetings and scoring an impressive 31 goals in total.

Our predictions for the day include: Albania falling short of an upset victory over Spain (Albania 0-3 Spain) and Italy and Croatia ending in a stalemate (Croatia 1-1 Italy). The tournament has seen some unexpected rises of young stars in European football while Scotland has found a new way to experience heartbreak at tournaments.
