Aaron LaBerge, the chief technology officer at Disney Entertainment and ESPN, is leaving the company after more than 20 years. In an internal memo to staff, he cited personal reasons for his departure and expressed confidence in the team and leadership to navigate the change smoothly. He plans to work with company leaders to ensure a seamless transition before his departure at the end of June.

After leaving Disney, LaBerge will become the CTO at PENN Entertainment, the company behind ESPN Bet, the sports network’s online sportsbook. This move marks a significant change for LaBerge after his long tenure at Disney, but he is excited to take on new challenges at PENN Entertainment. He has expressed gratitude for the opportunities he has had at Disney and is looking forward to a successful transition to his new role.
