In a major sports streaming deal, ESPN and TNT Sports have teamed up once again to showcase select College Football Playoff games. The five-year agreement will see TNT airing two first-round games post-2024 and 2025 seasons, along with two quarterfinal matchups in the remaining three years of the deal. This marks the first time that CFP games will be televised anywhere other than ESPN and its affiliated Disney outlets.

In March, ESPN signed a six-year extension with the College Football Playoff, reportedly valued at $7.8 billion, ensuring that the playoff will remain under its umbrella through 2031-32. This sublicense with TNT is an exciting addition to ESPN’s existing partnership with TNT Sports in a sports streaming bundle.

TNT Sports chairman and CEO, Luis Silberwasser, expressed his excitement about the agreement, stating that they aim to delight fans by showcasing these College Football Playoff games on their platforms for years to come. ESPN’s executive vp programming and acquisitions, Rosalyn Durant, added that they are pleased to sublicense a select number of early-round games to TNT Sports, helping to grow the championship event into one of the preeminent championships.

In addition to this partnership with TNT Sports, ESPN is also partners in Venu Sports alongside Fox Sports. This newly named sports streaming bundle combines the offerings of the three companies and includes portions of the media rights packages for various popular sports leagues such as the NFL, NBA, MLB, NASCAR and upcoming men’s and women’s World Cups in soccer.
