Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) is a critical issue that affects millions of workers worldwide. The American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) has partnered with global technology firm SafetyCulture to address this challenge by providing frontline workers with easy access to updated safety and health training. This initiative is designed to promote a culture of safety across different industries and reduce the risk of injuries, illnesses, and fatalities on the job.

The partnership between ASSP and SafetyCulture aims to provide essential safety and health courses to workers through their mobile devices. These courses are designed to align with OSHA standards and make compliance training widely accessible, even in remote locations. The 27 new courses cover topics such as fall protection, machine guarding, heat stress, hazard communication, and respiratory protection. These brief refresher sessions are specifically targeted at high-risk industries such as construction and manufacturing where adherence to federal regulations is crucial for safety.

SafetyCulture’s online platform now provides access to the training material with a free account. This allows organizations to deliver refresher courses directly to their teams’ mobile devices, making it more convenient for employers to provide refresher training and for ASSP to reach more workers with critical safety information. Visit SafetyCulture’s Training site for more information on how you can take advantage of this initiative.

With this initiative in place, we can expect a reduction in workplace accidents and injuries while ensuring that all workers receive the necessary training they need to perform their duties safely.
