Electra EV, a company that specializes in electric vehicle powertrain solutions, has partnered with Servotech Power Systems, a company that focuses on EV chargers and solar solutions. The companies have jointly filed for patents for a new technology that will facilitate fast DC charging of GB/T Bharat DC 001 vehicles that operate on sub 200V DC platforms. This will be achieved by adding a connector through a small additional gadget to the CCS2 charging network.

The innovative solution will ensure seamless charging compatibility for vehicles, eliminating the need for expensive dual infrastructure deployment. This will be beneficial for both passenger services and commercial vehicles that rely on the GB/T Bharat DC 001 protocol. Arun Handa, CTO of Servotech Power Systems, highlighted the importance of this collaboration, noting that it brings together technological expertise and a commitment to innovation.

Samir Yajnik, CEO of Electra EV, expressed excitement about the breakthrough technology, stating that it aligns with the company’s mission to lead the transition to electric vehicles. He emphasized the potential of this collaboration in driving India’s EV growth journey forward. The partnership between Servotech Power Systems and Electra EV is aimed at advancing the EV industry in India and other countries that are adopting the GB/T Bharat DC 001 standard.
