Eegee’s in Tucson recently set a new “unofficial” world record by dropping a watermelon from an airplane at a height of 200 feet, surpassing the previous record of 167 feet. This stunt was done to celebrate the early arrival of summer in Tucson and the introduction of their popular watermelon flavor. The restaurant has made watermelon the ‘Flavor of the Summer’ in Southern Arizona due to its strong following in the region. They brought back the watermelon flavor earlier than usual to cater to their loyal customers. Starting Thursday, May 23, watermelon frozen refreshments will be available and offered throughout the entire summer season. Last year, Eegee’s also made headlines when they provided watermelon drinks to frontline workers in Tucson, showing their strong connection with the community and their iconic watermelon flavor. The restaurant continues to innovate and surprise its customers with new and exciting promotions, such as the recent watermelon drop stunt. Summer at Eegee’s is sure to be a refreshing and flavorful experience for all.
