On Thursday, the Eagles concluded their mandatory minicamp and also finalized their draft pick signings. The team’s top pick from the April draft, cornerback Quinyon Mitchell, was the last to reach a deal with the team. Mitchell signed a four-year contract with the Eagles, who also have the option for a fifth season.

During his time at Toledo, Mitchell broke up 38 passes over the last two seasons and recorded six interceptions, including a standout four-interception game in the 2022 season. In addition to Mitchell, the Eagles also signed second-round pick Cooper DeJean. Both rookies will be competing for playing time in the secondary alongside veterans Darius Slay, Avonte Maddox, and James Bradberry.

The competition in the secondary is expected to be fierce as Mitchell and DeJean eagerly look forward to making their mark on the team. Fans will be watching closely to see how these young players develop as they adjust to the NFL level of play. With their draft picks now under contract, the Eagles will look ahead to training camp as they continue to prepare for the upcoming season.
