Quinyon Mitchell, the first cornerback selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the first round since 2002, has officially signed his four-year rookie contract. As the No. 22 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, Mitchell has an impressive track record with 46 career pass breakups and six interceptions, ranking him sixth among all corners drafted in the past decade.

At Toledo, Mitchell made history as the first back-to-back Associated Press All-American in the school’s football program. He also earned first-team All-MAC honors in both 2022 and 2023. Hailing from Williston, Florida, Mitchell showcased exceptional defensive skills during his last season at Toledo. His forced completion percentage of 27.7% was the highest among the corners drafted in the first round and ranked second overall at the NFL Scouting Combine.

Eagles Director of Player Personnel, Charles Walls, praised Mitchell’s abilities, stating that his skill set is well-suited for the NFL. Mitchell’s competitiveness, tackling ability, and infectious energy have made him stand out among his peers.
