Dover Motor Speedway is gearing up for a busy Saturday as the NASCAR race weekend continues. Xfinity teams will take to the track first, with defending winner Ryan Truex back in the lineup driving for Joe Gibbs Racing. Meanwhile, Cup teams will be preparing for Sunday’s race by practicing and qualifying at 2 p.m. ET on FS1.

Last season, Kyle Busch started from the pole after rain washed out qualifying, and Christopher Bell joined him on the front row. However, this year there are four drivers with secure spots in the Xfinity playoffs, including Austin Hill, Chandler Smith, Sam Mayer, and Jesse Love. Love will be competing for the final Dash 4 Cash $100,000 bonus against Ryan Sieg, Anthony Alfredo, and Riley Herbst.

Saturday also marks Corey Heim’s Cup debut as he replaces Erik Jones, who sustained a back injury in a crash at Talladega. Riley Herbst expressed confusion about passing on a green-white-checkered flag during practice sessions at Dover Motor Speedway.

The garage opens at 8:30 a.m., and there will be practice sessions for both the Cup and Xfinity Series throughout the day. Cloudy skies and a high of 57 degrees are expected, with a 2% chance of rain at the start of the Xfinity race. The Xfinity Series race is scheduled to start at 1:30 p.m., followed by Sunday’s Cup Series race at 2 p.m. ET on FS1.
