On Saturday, April 20th, two national NASCAR series will be racing at Talladega Superspeedway. The Xfinity teams will compete in a 2.66-mile superspeedway race, while Cup teams will qualify for Sunday’s 500-mile race. Additionally, the ARCA Menards Series teams will also be on track for a Saturday afternoon race.

Jeb Burton is the defending winner of the Xfinity race at Talladega and has won twice there since 2021. AJ Allmendinger is the only other driver in the lineup with an Xfinity win at Talladega. Jesse Love and Austin Hill make up Richard Childress Racing’s Xfinity lineup. Hill leads the series with six wins on drafting style tracks but has not finished better than 14th at Talladega in four starts. Chevrolet has won the last nine Xfinity races at Talladega, with Kaulig Racing contributing four of those wins. Ford has not won an Xfinity race at Talladega since 2017, and Toyota has not won since 2014.

The Dash 4 Cash program is back for its third race, with Sam Mayer, Ryan Sieg, Justin Allgaier, and Allmendinger competing for a $100,000 bonus. The forecast for Saturday is cloudy skies with possible rain showers throughout the day. The high temperature will reach 75 degrees with a 50% chance of rain at the start of the Xfinity race. Chase Elliott stated that they still want to be better and have room for improvement after finishing second in last week’s Cup Series race at Martinsville Speedway.

The schedule for Saturday includes garage activity from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., with ARCO starting at 10 a.m., followed by Xfinity at 1 p.m., Cup Series qualifying from 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m., ARCO Menards Series Race from 12:30 p.m., and Xfinity Series Race from 4 p
