Lena Meissner of Germany secured her first World Cup podium win on Saturday in Samarkand, after a long journey since her bronze medal at the 2022 Championship Finals in Abu Dhabi. She proved herself once again on the race course with a dominating performance.

Lena Meissner, along with Therese Feuersinger, Zuzana Michalickova and Jessica Fullagar took the lead during the swim. The quartet quickly moved onto the bike segment, where the race eventually became a battle between Meissner, Fullagar and Feuersinger. Despite the tough competition, Meissner and Fullagar managed to run together for most of the 10km run. In the end, Meissner pushed through and secured the victory, with Sweden’s Tilda Mansson finishing in third place with the fastest run split of over two minutes.
