A Florida woman has filed a lawsuit against Disney for an incident that occurred at Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. The lawsuit claims that she lost consciousness and sustained a brain injury after riding the Humunga Kowabunga waterslide. She visited the theme park on May 11 and experienced the injury during the ride.

According to the lawsuit, the woman banged inside the ride and fell unconscious. Her family found her limp at the end of the waterslide and were told by attendants that they were not lifeguards and would have to find help. Blood kept coming out of the woman’s mouth as they waited for assistance.

The lawsuit states that if Disney had lifeguards at the end of the ride, the brain injury could have been prevented as the woman wouldn’t have been left unattended in the water. The incident has caused the woman to suffer mental, emotional, and physical ailments, resulting in brain damage. She is seeking $50,000 in damages for the injuries sustained.

Disney representatives have not yet responded to requests for comment on the recent lawsuit. However, it is worth noting that Disney has faced previous lawsuits related to this same waterslide, including one in 2023 where a woman experienced vaginal bleeding after a hard landing.
