Crow Wing County 4-H is hosting an event on April 27 at the Crow Wing County Fairgrounds from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The purpose of this event is to engage youth interested in animals and connect them with mentors who can guide them through the 4-H animal science programs. Youth do not need any prior animal experience or ownership to participate.
The Brainerd Dispatch is a local news outlet that has been serving the community since the 1880s. They are dedicated to providing local news, weather, sports, videos, photos, podcasts, and social media updates to keep people connected and informed about central Minnesota. Their goal is to support the community with accurate and timely information.
There will be live animals present at the event, along with their young owners, who will provide information on how to get started with 4-H animals. The event will feature various activities such as animal demonstrations, educational sessions, and animal science trivia. General information about joining 4-H will also be available.
For more information or any questions, interested individuals can contact 4-H Youth Extension Educator Sashanna O’Shea at 218-824-1069 or oshea067@umn.edu.
