Devin Booker is leading the charge for the Phoenix Suns as they aim to secure a spot in the playoffs. In their recent game against the New Orleans Pelicans, Booker scored an impressive 52 points, breaking his own career-high in three-pointers with eight. He was on fire, scoring 37 of those points in the first half alone. This was the third consecutive game in which Booker scored at least 50 points against the Pelicans, making him only the second player in NBA history to achieve this feat alongside Wilt Chamberlain.
Booker’s outstanding performance not only helped the Suns secure a crucial win but also allowed them to make up ground in the standings. They are now just one game behind the sixth-place Pelicans with 14 games left to play. The Suns will face off against the Pelicans once again on April 7, giving them another opportunity to gain ground in the standings.
The Minnesota Timberwolves also benefited from Booker’s stellar performance as they clinched a top-six playoff spot with a Pelicans loss. The Timberwolves will show their appreciation to Booker when they visit Phoenix to play the Suns on Friday.
