The Cowboys are not counting on CeeDee Lamb to participate in their organized team activities, giving other receivers the opportunity to impress the coaching staff. One player in particular who will be closely watched is Jalen Tolbert. With no veteran additions to the group following Michael Gallup’s departure, Tolbert is expected to step into the No. 3 wide receiver role behind Lamb and Brandin Cooks for the upcoming 2024 season.

Tolbert’s production increased from two catches as a rookie to 22 catches last year, and wide receivers coach Robert Prince anticipates another leap forward from the 2022 third-round pick. Prince stated that the team expects all of their receivers to make progress, with Tolbert being a key focus given his significant improvement from Year One to Year Two. Additionally, Prince highlighted Jalen Brooks, a seventh-round pick from 2023, as another player the Cowboys are hoping will elevate their game.

Improvement from both Tolbert and Brooks would greatly benefit the Cowboys’ offensive potential for the upcoming season. As the team heads into the offseason, they are optimistic about the growth and development of their young receiving corps.
