A boat carrying 42 foreign tourists collided with a ferry on the Tien River in Ho Chi Minh City, resulting in severe injuries for a 36-year-old male tour guide. Dr. Le Dinh Hai from the Department of Trauma and Orthopedics at Cho Ray Hospital stated that the patient was in critical condition upon arrival at the hospital, with injuries including traumatic shock, ruptured organs, and multiple broken bones. The patient underwent emergency surgery to address his injuries, including amputation of his arm.

The accident on April 19 also resulted in injuries to other passengers. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the collision, but both the ship’s crew and the ferry driver tested negative for alcohol and drugs. This incident left several passengers, including German and French tourists, with injuries requiring treatment at a nearby hospital.
